There are times when mere words are not deep enough to express one’s emotions yet it’s unjust to remain silent.

John Samson

Historic acts of bravery & honor have stimulated many artists to produce their works and John felt overwhelmingly compelled to create this tribute. The painting was not commissioned for a gallery, it was just one man’s desire to express the pure emotion he couldn't put into words.
